I am all of these. Narcissistic abuse is nothing and I am still healing from these abuses. I am happily divorced from this abuser. He has already moved onto a new supply before we were even separated, so yeah, I feel bad for the next person I warned her, but she will not listen to me because she’s already told her lies that I, the reason why we are no longer together normal they have to cover their jobs. I know I’m not the problem he is. I am in healing stage and I will be completely healed. I love this video. Thank you.

This video is the single most helpful I’ve watched on the topic of narcissistic abuse. I’m so angry and resentful.

It is so shocking to me how tangible and real and lasting the symptoms are of CPTSD in the target after the finally booting the narc out. I’m 5.5 months no contact. I’ve done a lot well in that time. 4 or 5 days a week at the gym. No drugs, drinking, no porn, no rebound. I am in the best physical shape of my life now at 48 but I’m a shell. I was a dating coach for 6 years before and extremely extrovert and super social. I spent years dating tonnes and super confident (not arrogant) and now that person that I was seems completely foreign to me. I take good care of my body now to help it heal but I’m less than 1% of who I used to be socially. That was after a year and a half engaged and living with a narc. The abuse is so insidious and yet so easy to explain away. Like second hand smoke that you barely can smell. But the effects after are mind blowing

Both my parents were/are lifelong ABUSERS. One died and one is still trying to abuse me. Im 55 and she is 73. She will NEVER CHANGE - In fact she gets worse every month. When She Dies Ill have 100% peace. I have cptsd and a very traumatized personality.

Another experience of mine was that he would literally try to erase my memory. He woukd convince me that what I remembered didnt happen that way, or even at all.. And that I needed mental health intervention. Because I was delusional and hallucinating. He literally tried to erase or rewrite my memories of his abuse as if I was the person who was respinsible for how he treated me.

I still have these behaviors. I will literally run around the house as soon as I know hes on his way home, looking for anything that might be out of place or not clean enough. Always apologizing saying Im sorry not even knowing what I did just to placate him. I was with him 28 years. I have been diagnosed with CPTSD.

I have The worst PTSD,I need to deal with it because it becomes debilitating.😊

I knew within the first few minutes I was going to leave.He asked me a few questions,then said I would have to decide if I could live with my ex the way he is ,because he would never change.

It’s a little different topic but it’s negatively amazing how people go out of their way to try and justify narcissistic behavior. If you complain about narcissistic abuse towards yourself or others, people just try to “explain” how narcissistic people are what they are because of this or that. Oh his father was a very prominent person in society so narcissism is just in his blood. Yes but that does NOT make it OKAY !!!! Narcissism is still wrong !!! It hurts others for no reason at all. Narcissists need to be held ACCOUNTABLE !!

One thing I’ve learned and it was a hard lesson that took years to realize is that I had to deal with facts. The FACT is she has no empathy The FACT is she had no remorse The FACT is she will never change The FACT sheet goes on Another FACT is I tried in vain to get her approval. The resulting FACT is she just did not care except to the extent I could be molded to provide her the supply she required. Lastly, the FACT is I now know and I am my own person.

IMPORTANT!: Regardless where you got your self esteem from everything that we need to give to ourselves exists within ourselves, if we as the inner parent start having a healthy relationship with our ( wounded/ healed) inner child, who is the one who bares our psychological wounds and is responsible for how we feel , we would pay attention to him or her and start acknowledging and accepting him / her with lovingkindness and hospitality , and if he/ she is wounded , our acknowledgement and acceptance in lovingkindness will actually heal that particular wounded issue/ feeling etc. internal validation is key to healing your body and soul with the spirit. And if you will do this your need for codependent external validation will significantly decrease! And you will feel joyful even in the midst of the storm bc the more you value and treat your inner child with loving kindness, your inner child will return that love and acceptance back to uou in the form of feeling joyful and confident and valued,! I CHALKENGE YOU TO DO THIS YOU WILL NOT BE SORRY BUT WILL BE EXCEEDINGLY GLAD THAT YOU DID!

Wow, I lived with a husband for 42 years who has untreated Narcissistic Personality Disorder which gradually worsened and worsened. Plus - my severely alcoholic “father” who abandoned his family when I was 8, was also a selfish self-centered narcissist. After a divorce and the death of my 92 year old parent in February 2024, Recovery is happening. Definitely does “take effort and time.” Inner Work to peace.

When this is beaten into you it's more of an indelible imprint than just verbal. These things were said to me as l was being pummeled with fists, whipped with belts, struck with 1" washing sticks and having the same rammed internally. For 11 years with maybe only 20 days over that time where l got no abuse. Realising why you are the way you are at 63 is a scheissenfest. Now nearly 65 Dresden is how l feel.

I believe there are far more of these types than is known. Maby alcohol and drugs help keep them in that STATE. Don't be angry at them,that only makes it hurt more.Besides,,we may have been like them at one time,but we learned better.Use that anger for energy to get away from bad situations.Anything can be changed without trouble. Keep your peace,and remember, Injustice may affect us, but it won't hurt us,it's Justice that will hurt us.

The person that’s supposed to care the most for me cares the least about me.

One of the crazy things was not be able to remember anything and losing vast portions of memory for a while. Sometimes he would interrupt me to ask me to repeat what I said and I'd feel so terrified I couldn't even remember the words I had spoken 30 seconds prior. Absolutely insane.

After years of awareness and learning about narcissism, I am well into the path of being authentic and feeling normal. I longer go into flight, fight, fear or fawn. I analyze and then react with an adult response. It feels good to be in control of emotions. I had to learn to laugh again too. Thanks for doing vid Michele.

You nailed it! I went to therapy with my wife for years. It took a long time before I realized that efforts to get me to express my feelings, were simply intended to expose my weaknesses. And any discussion about suspicious behaviors was responded to with greater efforts to hide the behaviors. Therapy felt like I was checking in with the inquisitor trying to break me down. And the therapist was well intentioned but completely blind to the process.

Yes I work 12 hours shifts and won't hear from my wife for 17 hours plus. I bring it up and am told I'm not ignoring you but anyone else gets text or calls. Now I know why
